The Netherlands is calling to onboard the next tech professionals and we have a great opportunity for the .NET community who is willing to start a new challenge, or for those who’d like to relocate to tech hubs like Amsterdam and Utrecht. We fully understand that it can be hard to find companies that are willing to invest time in hiring local and international talent, and we want to fix that.

About Open Doors .NET

On April 20th - 21st, the top 30 candidates will get the chance to meet 6 pre-selected companies in Amsterdam and Utrecht that are looking to hire tech talent right now.

And if you’re not familiar with Amsterdam and Utrecht, you’ll also get a good understanding of what living and working in the Netherlands is like with some time to check out the city!

So how does it work?

1. Application

Fill in this application form until March 13th 2020, and give us some more info about you and why you want to be part of the Open Doors .NET

2. Evaluation

After you submit your application, we’ll screen your background and application form. The next step is a skill-assessment test. If you ace the challenge, we will contact you to assess your motivation. In the last phase, you’ll have to record a video answering 2 questions.

3. Selection

Congrats! You were selected for the Open Doors .NET. If you're an international, this is when we will buy your flights/tickets to Amsterdam. We will also happily give you some tips about where to stay and how to get around there.

4. Arrival!

It’s April 2020, and you’re on your way to Amsterdam or already there, and about to meet 6 companies hiring tech professionals like you!

The Open Doors .NET is an event developed by Landing.Jobs with the aim of increasing the community of .NET Developers in the Netherlands, and where companies will have the opportunity to hire local and international tech talent. It can be difficult to find companies that are willing to invest the necessary time in hiring talent and this is where Landing.Jobs wants to take action.

With our increasing presence in the Dutch market, we want to remove some of the constraints associated with the long recruitment processes - not only by selecting 6 top-notch companies that are willing to hire .NET Developers but also through taking our top 30 candidates to meet them in person. At the same time, spending two days in Amsterdam and Utrecht visiting the companies’ offices, will enable our candidates to see if working in those companies is for them. Always with the goal of helping individuals take ownership of their professional careers in mind, the Landing team will provide two days of intense group interviews, collaboration and learning.

> What’s the official calendar for the Open Doors .NET session and application process?

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the dates for the Open Doors will be changed for later this year. Your safety is our priority.

> To whom is the Open Doors .NET directed to and what are the requirements to participate?

The Open Doors .NET is directed to .NET tech professionals who are interested in starting a new challenge or relocating to the Netherlands. To be considered to participate in the event, you should have at least 3 years of working experience as .NET developer and be currently based in the European Union, United Kingdom, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, or Ukraine.

> How do I apply?

To register for the Open Doors .NET you need to apply through the official website.

> How are candidates going to be selected to participate in the Open Doors .NET?

The Open Doors .NET's application will flow like a recruitment process. After the evaluation stage, the candidates with the best results based on their fit with our focus tech skills (.NET), motivation and background, will be selected to participate in the Open Doors .NET.

> Do I need to pay to apply?

No. The application and skill assessment is free and open to anyone interested.


> Are there any other costs involved?

If selected, you will be entitled to free flight/travel as they are covered by Landing.Jobs. However, you will be responsible for arranging your own accommodation, transport from/to the airport and food expenses outside the event hours.

> What happens if I get accepted and have to cancel my participation in the event?

After you’ve been accepted into the program and you're an international, we will reach out to you in order to book your flight/travel. If you inform us that you can’t attend the event after we proceed with the purchase of your ticket, you will be asked for a full refund on them.
